They want to do it right

They want to do things right. Young doctors, mostly women, are now the foundation of the everyday clinical practice in hospitals and health centers around the world. They are going to be the workforce in the next 20 years and

the medical model that they will learn during the residency will be the medicine of tomorrow. Are we teaching them a comprehensive and integrated model of care? After many years in the medical profession, I and many other colleagues have the feeling that something must be done to recover important aspects of the clinical practice now diluted inside the mix of high technology, genes, target therapeutics and political control that surround all medical decisions. I believe that we, doctors and patients, we want a safe, compassionate and respectful clinical practice for every person-patient.
